An historic first for WPC

On Wednesday evening 9th September 2020 an historic event took place – our pastor Samuel Gittins was formerly ordained as a minister within the Presbyterian Church of NSW.  What’s so special about that you may ask?   Well, thanks to Covid, the ordination service was conducted via Zoom with other ministers from across the Mid North Coast and with family and friends from near and far being on the screen together.  And to make it even more special this was the first time an ordination has been done in this way.  Praise God that His plans and purposes go ahead despite the obstacles.

In case you weren’t aware

After a period of nearly 13 years the well-known and much loved Peter Huxley and his wife Heather moved north in February to take up ministry in the Kyogle Church.  They will be greatly missed by the church family as well as by the wider community.

“We thank God for Peter and Heather and pray that they will have a wonderful as we look forward, with faith in God, to the ministry of Samuel among us,” added the elders of Wauchope Presbyterian Church.

DROUGHT & RAIN

Praise God that good rains have fallen across much of the state.  However the long term effect of drought will not be underdone overnight.  Please pray for those on the land struggling to get back on their feet.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
